The Vanguard Circle
The discipline and stewardship cohort founded by the same person behind this interfaith project — Patrick van der Vyver, Cape Town, South Africa.
Why it is here
Faith without discipline stays theory
This site argues that the Bible and the Quran ask for far more of the same things than people are told. Both ask for something harder than agreement: a life that actually changes. The Vanguard Circle is where that side of the work happens — steps, lifts, scripture, and someone holding you to it.
- 01
Measurable physical discipline
Daily steps and lifting volume are logged, not guessed. They roll up into a weekly Routine Score out of 10 — so progress stops being a feeling and becomes a number.
- 02
Scripture in the routine
Reading is part of the week, not an extra. The same interfaith honesty behind this site sits inside the cohort: read the text, judge the text.
- 03
1-on-1 mentorship
Accountability from a real person who checks in, not an app that sends notifications into a void.
- 04
Stewardship over hype
The body, the time and the money you have been given are a trust. The cohort treats them that way.
To be clear about the name
“Bet on you” is a call to invest in yourself. The Vanguard Circle is a discipline and accountability cohort — it is not a betting, gambling or wagering platform, and nothing there involves games of chance.
